Design decisions I can defend with data.

Back-office systems, CRM, payment flows, retention mechanics — products with real money and real operators behind them. Ten years across design leadership and product ownership, five of them at scale in a high-load, heavily regulated domain.

Open to work design leadership & senior IC roles

Ten years, four shifts in responsibility.

2016 — 2019

Craft

High-load internal platforms. Dense tables, permissions, configuration-heavy workflows. Learned to make complexity readable.

2019 — 2021

First teams

Design Team Lead. Up to 4 designers across parallel B2B and B2C projects. Quality against speed, every week.

2021 — 2025

Product depth

Dashboards, retention mechanics, A/B testing on live traffic, payment flows. Moved from how to what and why.

2025 — now

Leading teams & product

Design Team Lead / PM. Grew one team 2 → 5, hired 3. Took over another, 7 → 9. Roadmap and hypotheses alongside design. Design system. AI pipeline in production.

What I take on.

Four areas, one flow. Product questions come first, design carries them, the team holds the bar, and the organisation gets what actually ships.

Product · Design · Team · Organisation
Product
  • Reading product metrics to find problems, not waiting for briefs
  • Forming and testing hypotheses on live traffic
  • Writing specs — the BA work, when there's no BA
  • Roadmap input and prioritisation
  • A/B testing, deciding from behavioural results
Design
  • Design systems from zero — components, libraries, governance
  • Back-office, CRM, dashboards, payments
  • Optimising handoff so engineers ship faster
  • UX debt: finding it, sizing it, clearing it
Team
  • Hiring, onboarding, and letting people go
  • Grading systems and career paths
  • 1:1s, reviews, and the standards that hold the bar
  • One flow, not five
  • Evaluating and rolling out new tooling
Organisation
  • Compliance: shipping products that hold up in regulated markets
  • Ops, automation, engineering, marketing, legal, HR
  • Automating team workflows
  • AI pipelines in production

Outcomes that hold up

Measured on live traffic and the team's own clock, not on a slide

Selected work.

Six cases. Each one opens with the outcome, then the context, the problem, the approach, and what I would do differently.

Across the work.

The numbers that moved. Every one of them measured on A/B, on the team's tracked time, or on the calendar.
